Terms, Shipping, Returns, and Warranty

In stock items normally ship within 1 – 3 business days. Some items, like the Minotaur, are burned-in and re-measured prior to shipment, and normally ship within 3 – 5 business days. For credit card orders, we don’t charge until we ship. Your credit card authorization may only last for 5 business days, so if any order is delayed longer than that, we will contact you about how to proceed. If you use PayPal at checkout, some payment options within PayPal may cause you to be charged when the order is placed – we can't control that.
If you would prefer to pay by check, there is an option for that during the checkout process. We will wait for your check to clear before shipping.
For items with a wait list, you can join the wait list by sending us your email address, a phone number, and a shipping address. We'll contact you about a week before your unit is ready and send an email invoice with links to complete your purchase by credit card, PayPal, or (in some cases) check. Some special order items may require a deposit.
Larger items (>5 pounds) usually ship by UPS or FedEx ground, but can also ship by air in most cases. Smaller items (like printed circuit boards and some kits) usually ship by USPS and can ship anywhere in the world. You may not see international shipping options for all items, but that doesn't mean we can't ship there. Please contact us if you don't see a shipping option for your location.
We collect sales tax on items delivered to New York State. We also offer free ground shipping within New York State.
All non-defective returns are subject to a minimum 5% restocking fee. Call or email us for a return shipping address. For a 95% refund, the returned item must be in original, re-saleable condition with no cosmetic damage, with the original packaging material and all accessories. Please return it within 30 calendar days for a refund. Equipment is no longer eligible for refund after 30 days. We don’t refund shipping charges, in either direction. Tavish Design reserves the right to charge an additional restocking fee for equipment which is returned damaged, with cosmetic dings, or without accessories. Our return policy applies only to items purchased directly from Tavish Design. Tavish Design reserves the right to decline sales from customers who have returned equipment in the past. Some special order items may require a deposit, which takes the place of the 5% minimum restocking fee.
Kits and circuit boards cannot be returned once you have begun assembly. However, we do offer a kit repair service if you are unable to get your kit working. Please contact us for details.
The detailed warranty for each item is included in the owner’s manual. In general, items less than $5000 have a six-year limited warranty (6 months on tubes, 1 year on remote controls). Items over $5000 have a lifetime limited warranty (we don’t sell any of those items on the web yet, but may in the future). Please download the owner's manual and read the warranty terms before placing your order. In no case does the warranty cover shipping costs outside the 48 continental United States. In the case of kits, the warranty only covers the components supplied and does not cover components damaged during assembly. We obviously cannot warrant your assembly of the product.
